Many shoujo manga reader like me, must have been type “Shoujo manga recommendation” in google. Most of us usually get to read Kimi No Todoke, Skip Beat, Bokura Ga ita, Dengeki Daisy, Vampire Night, Kaichou Wa Maid Sama, Faster Than a Kiss, and Ouran Host Club. I’m agree with that as I also read some of them. But, actually there are some of shoujo manga whose are very very great, extraordinary, and has different and unique story that has not been very well known by the shoujo manga reader. When I read those manga, I feel like, every shoujo manga reader have to read this!!. What are those comic? Here It is. Hope after read this, the reader will read these manga and get an inspiration just like the manga had been inspired me before.

Since I write this in a hurry, temporarily I will just review one shoujo manga titled CAT STREET. The genres are drama, romance, school life, shoujo, and slice of life. The story is about Keito Aoyama, a former famous child actress. She get a childhood incident and so retired from her actress careers. Because the trauma she got is so influence her, she withdrew from normal society. She imprisoned herself in her own room. Now she is 16, she still passes her days in boredom and without purpose. She doesn’t even go to school. Until one day, a stranger takes her to El Liston –a free school for high school students like herself, who don’t have a place where they belong. Though hesitant at first, Keito decides to join El Liston and begins a new stage in her life. The story develops with she meeting with Taiyou, her childhood friend and her new friends in El Liston, Rei, Momiji, and Kouichi.

This story has a perfect balance in tells the Keito’s story from life, love, and friendship side. The story develop naturally without coercion story just like what a real life happened around us. Its very interesting about the reader will not know who will Keito end up with until some of last chapters. The guy end up with Keito is very unpredictable yet they become like a made-for-each-other couple with a perfect chemistry.

This story offer a unique story as Keito learn many life lesson after she study at El Liston. This school has a free curriculum that make a student can focuss on learning what they are really love. I really want to attend this school in this kind of school is exist in real life. What a wonderful life when we can be ourself, learn what we love, and people not judge us with bad view because they appreciate what we are doing.

This story also really inspired me. Though we never know what struggle we will meet tomorrow, we have to be brave and optimist in lead the day to tomorrow. Here are some of my favourite quote from the story.
“Taiyou’s sunset is leading to tomorrow” Keito said as she was crying because for her, she always see the sunset as the end of the day

The guy who end up with Keito confess his feeling to Keito “I was always really scared. Scared of making a strong connection with anyone. I always put myself first. Truly liking someone and getting hurt because of that, I was really scared. Evenvthough I’ve thought of giving up countless times, in the end, I don’t want to leave you”. As I read this, I got a goosebumps. I think this guy really look after her and really love her.

“There is no such thing as a late or early start. You, understand what I’m saying don’t you” is what principal of El Liston said to Keito when Keito visit principal in hospital. What principal is really true as many of us usually get desperate because we think we start to early in this thing, and start to late in other thing. We trapped in our own pessimist perspective.

So readers, don’t wait any longer, CAT STREET is high recommended!!!
